JORGE MASVIDAL is open to a fight against Jake Paul, but only after his UFC career is over.
Paul recently called out the UFC Welterweight, despite them previously training together.
Jorge Masvidal offered to fight Jake Paul
Masvidal will fight Leon Edwards on December 11, and still hopes to win the UFC title despite successive defeats to Kamaru Usman.
He believes that a huge-money boxing match against Paul will still be possible after his time in the Octagon is over.
Masivdal stated on the MMA Hour, "Right now where I am in my career, I'm gonna face the best fighters in this world."
"We both can agree that they are in the F***ing UFC. There are a lot of great guys in 170 pounds and I could easily beat them.
"And I'm going to get the most money from it, my brother.
"Now, when I'm done beating up top fighters, if there will be any, I'll go collect a quick payment cheque for hitting him so hard in front the entire world.
"Those other options are always there. However, right now, while I am in my prime I have to do what people in their prime do: fight the best in the world. He isn't in the conversation and never will be.
Masvidal, 36 years old, teamed up with Paul, 24 earlier in the year, when YouTube star Ben Askren, 37, was fighting for his life.
Askren was defeated in round one, which made the American social media star go 3-0 as an American boxer.
Then, Paul signed to face Tyron Woodley (39), Masvidal's friend, and training partner. This started a feud between them.
Paul called Masvidal an "air head" and expressed his desire to fight the former UFC title challenger.
Masvidal retorted: "He knows at end of day, face-to-face. Except he has his 50 bodyguards, I'm all by myself.
"Because at end of the day, I can always pick up this little kid and slam him through concrete so hard that it will render him invalid for the rest his life."
Paul is now 4-0 as a fighter with wins over online rival AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson (ex-NBA player), and Woodley (ex-UFC pair Askren & Woodley).
Masvidal was defeated by UFC welterweight champion Usman (34), in July 2020. He was then knocked out in their April match.
Three years after their fight at UFC London, Edwards from Britain will be his opponent.
