Youngest Son of Boxing Legend Accused of Attacking Teenage Girl near Brighton Pier
Joseph Eubank, 27, the youngest son of boxing legend Chris Eubank Snr, has pleaded not guilty to charges of raping a teenage girl near Brighton Pier. The alleged incident took place in July 2022 in the popular seaside resort.
Eubank appeared at Lewes Crown Court today where he denied two counts of raping a woman under the age of 18. He was released on bail following the hearing.
During the court appearance, Eubank, dressed in a charcoal grey coat, black trousers, and a black crew-neck top, was informed that his trial is scheduled for September.
The alleged incident was reported to the police by the teenager, who claimed that she was raped near the pier on July 16, 2022. Specialist officers provided support to the victim during the investigation, leading to Eubank's arrest and subsequent charges.
Chris Eubank Sr, a trailblazer in the boxing world, held the WBO middleweight and super-middleweight titles from 1990 to 1995. Joseph Eubank's brother, Chris Jr, is also a professional boxer who has faced off against notable opponents such as Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves.
