Joseph Parker says he has been in discussions with Andy Ruiz Jr about a rematch six-years after the world title fight.
Joseph Parker and Andy Ruiz Jr were fighting for the WBO heavyweight title.

The New Zealand star declared that they could get it on again and try to get back in the mix for the world title.

Parker just came off a career-best performance in his match against Derek Chisora, where he scored three knockdowns and won a points victory.

Ruiz Jr., 32, managed to climb off the ground in his comeback fight against Chris Arreola last year to defeat his opponent.

The duo is now poised to take it back in a possible 2022 dust-up.

Parker took to social media and tweeted: "Who's interested in this rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr?"

"My team has been reaching out bro. Let's make this happen!

Parker immediately retweeted the comment of Michael Buffer, a legendary ring announcer.

He said, "Great rematch!"

Parker's manager stated earlier this month that a fight against Ruiz Jr and a second fight against Dillian Howte could be in the works.

David Higgins, speaking to Sky Sports, stated that a rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr was a great idea.

"Parker defeated Ruiz Jr in New Zealand in a close fight. It may have ended differently if it had been in America.

"Andy would like a rematch. He is a Mexican-American cult leader who is interested in fighting him in America.

"If Parker stayed true to his game plan, he could easily beat Deontay wilder.

"Dillian Whyte? It would be fascinating to see the long-awaited Whyte rematch.
