Joseph Parker to end Derek Chisora rivalry, in red-hot fashion... To make up for being stuck in snowy Morecambe

JOSEPH PARKER must end his Derek Chisora rivalry red-hot to make up for being stuck in Morecambe.

The New Zealand ace moves to the Lancashire bay with Tyson Fury, his best friend and shared trainer Andy Lee.

He doesn't know when he will be allowed to return home because of the new covid travel restrictions.

The 29-year-old WBO World Champ is a local hit and flew in his wife and their three daughters just before the border rules were changed.

They don't know when they'll be able fly back to their loved ones so Parker is hoping for a KO win.

He said, "I cannot get home to visit my siblings, parents, and extended family." "But at the very least, I have my wife here and my kids.

"We will need to spend at most Christmas and New Years here, so I need this win.

"Morecambe is a different place to New Zealand. It's quiet, peaceful, and good for training and camp. There's only a gym, apartment and eat.

"After the fight, we have a nice plan for going to Center Parcs. It's a brand new experience for my children because they've never seen snow before. As soon as they arrived in Morecambe, it began snowing in Morecambe. They were running outside with beanie hats and their noses turning all red.

"We love it here because everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and we get great support."

Parker was supported by many boxing fans upon his sudden rise to prominence as a brutal knockout artist.

His popularity has declined as more of his fights, both in victory and loss, have been lost.

The refreshingly honest Ace admits that he has had enough of dull performances and must get back to entertaining the public.

He said, "To be completely honest, I don’t want to fight 12-rounds." "I want to go into there and take care business.

"I haven’t done that in a while and it sucks. "I've developed a defensive, boring style that I don't like and want to change it.

"Maybe I tried to play it safe, counter. Although I am aware that my opponents were different at the beginning of my career, I was always on top, making fights happen, being more aggressive and throwing combinations. That is what I want to do again.

"I don’t want to be a 12-round fighter. I don’t like being too defensive, waiting for counters, and not on the front foot. That's boring."

Chisora's approach to fight-week build up is never dull. Parker has been left confused by his antics in Manchester.

Del Boy hosted an informal game of musical chairs on Wednesday night, as an alternative to his media training.

At Thursday's press conference, he taped himself and refused to speak unless Eddie Hearn paid extra.

Parker insists that he isn’t rattled, but just baffled.

After the silence, he stated that he didn't know what to say.

"I don’t know if it’s to rattle me, the press conference, or just put on a show. I don't know what he is trying to accomplish. He is a great comedian and gets people laughing.

"He knows how to get the crowd to cooperate. It would be strange if I could do that.

"If I did musical chairs and went to public training, it would be strange. He does it because everyone is happy that he does it.
