JOSH WARRINGTON was able to overcome his Maurico Lara car accident and bought a dream motorcycle after his mistress gave him permission.
In February 2021, the 31-year-old Leeds hero lost a brutal loss to the Mexico banger. This just weeks after he had given up his IBF featherweight title to try to win other titles.
After the KO, the father-of-2 hit rock bottom. However, his wife Natasha helped him get out of his funk by giving the go-ahead for his dream two-wheeled vehicle.
Warrington shared his story ahead of tonight's match against Kiko Martinez in his local arena. She replied, "You can't, you just became a dad."
"Then, after the first Lara fight I was sulking around and my dad had a mid-life crises and had just bought scooters, so I decided to get a bike.
"The blessing was given to me by the missus and I went to get one. It was because I was so miserable ***** that I believe she did it!

"She said that you would do it at some point, so go for it. But be careful."
Warrington bought a Yamaha 650cc Yamaha for his first career loss. He also exercised his demons by rematching Lara September in September. This ended in a technical draw.
Now, the only thing that is bothering him is listening to fellow bikers enjoy the scorching sun while he focuses his attention on the crucial clash at Leeds Arena with the 36-year old he outpointed last 2017.
He stated, "When I'm riding my bike, it's absolutely wonderful.
"Whitby Scarborough, that's the place I want to go. My back yard is where I live. On Wednesday, I was sitting in my backyard. A lot of bikers went to a nearby cafe and it was 'vrooom!
It was almost like someone on a diet, walking past fast food restaurants all the time. I was like "Aaaaaargh!" I cannot wait to get on my bike next week.
I am aware of the dangers associated with riding a bicycle. I am aware that if I hit a pole on my bike, it will cause damage to my alloy. If I hit a pole with my bike, it's going to fall off so I ride defensively."
FREE BETTING AND SIGN-UP DEALS - THE BEST NEW CUSTOMER OFFERINGSAfter missing an EGG-elletent prefight tradition, Warrington was escorted to the ring by Luke Ayling, Leeds United hero.
Regular Elland Road fan Terry Poole has been a regular visitor to the Elland Road, and has always given tickets personally to his loyal fans. Terry always thanked him with six eggs.
He said, "Basically I've always dropped tickets off for people who are coming for a while and the Pooles have been coming ever since my town hall days, when I was fighting for English title in Leeds townhall.
"I would say that he has given me half a dozen eggs for six years now. It's almost a tradition.
"He claims that Lara beat me because I didn’t go to get the eggs before the first fight.
Terry has now given me the eggs. He's at ease. He's certain that I will be a two time world champion because I have the eggs.
"I couldn’t get them for the Lara fight, because it was in bubble and no tickets were being sold. They weren't available for me in the second fight because I was too busy with other things. My friends dropped them off.
"I make an egg scrambled or omelette with them. It's something nice like that."
