Buatsi, 29 years old, stated in the buildup: "There are always people who prove wrong.
"Every boxer has an individual ego. Nobody wants to lose.
"I win by being me. You can see the stats and say, "This is what he usually does."
"But, I'm gonna bring him out and that's how we fight." If I can knock him out, I will.

Unbeaten Northampton ace, who holds the WBC and IBF light-welterweight titles and Ring magazine's light-welterweight titles, said she "fell off radar" after a fight against Kali Reis (WBA and WBO champs) fell through.

"Kali had her fight. People were excited for that fight. Then the rug was pulled under me and I vanished.
"I tried to stay positive and keep going, but it was hard. I didn't know what was going on and was not getting any answers.
