Jake Paul is in negotiations to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Chavez Jr. has been known for lacking commitment in the past. He was recently defeated by Anderson Silva, future UFC Hall of Famer.

Jhonny Gonzalez, a Mexican countryman, pleaded for Paul's son to get in shape for his fight with Paul. Or face the consequences.

Gonzalez, 40, said to CVBJ that it was a profitable business for these YouTubers who are interested in boxers.

"But, if Chavez Jr happens I just hope Julio prepares well because Paul would lose to Julio boxing."

Chavez Sr., one of Mexico’s most renowned fighters, was left with head in hands after Silva, 46, defeated him over eight rounds.

Gonzalez acknowledged that his father's popularity is evident when Chavez Jr., aged 35, enters the ring.

He stated that Chavez was always in the spotlight.

"But for his father, because wherever he appears, his father will always be there and what people want to see is the great Julio Cesar."

Chavez Jr. revealed that he was offered PS2.2million plus possible pay-per-view bonuses to fight Paul.

Gonzalez warns that a humiliating defeat will leave no choice but to retire and refuse the huge-money purse.

Chavez Jr. admitted to TV Boxeo that he hoped to make a few million dollars with Jake Paul. I won't be paid if he beats my team.

"I don’t want money if he doesn’t beat me." Retirement. I'm not interested in his money if he doesn't win.

Paul, 24 years old, was to face Tommy Fury (22) until Tommy, a former British reality TV star, pulled out with a broken bone and chest infection.

Woodley, 39, was signed as a late substitute, but was eliminated in the rematch after just three months.

On Paul's KO List, he now joins YouTuber "AnEsonGib", ex-NBA player Nate Robinson (37), and former UFC welterweight Askren (37).

Paul would face Chavez Jr. with no prior professional boxing experience.
