Kate Abdo, known for her work as a presenter for boxing events, recently trained with Deontay Wilder's coach Malik Scott, leaving him in awe of her abilities.
A Presenter Who Can Back It Up
Kate Abdo has made a name for herself as a boxing presenter for networks like Fox and DAZN, but now she's proving she can do more than just talk about the sport.
Abdo has been training with Malik Scott at the renowned Brickhouse Boxing Club in North Hollywood. Scott, who currently works with former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, was highly impressed by Abdo's skills.
A Pleasant Surprise
Scott, 42, said, "She's much better than I give her credit for every day. I'm hard on Kate at times during training, but for her size, she's extremely heavy-handed. She has a very good right hand and she turns her hips very well."

Abdo, 42, has been ringside for some of the biggest boxing events in the US over the past few years, and her dedication and hard work have clearly paid off.
A Passion for the Sport
Speaking about Abdo, Scott added, "What I'm impressed with the most is that she's a sponge for knowledge. She's not just someone who has a certain job but doesn't actually want to be involved in boxing. She wants to be in the gym, ask questions, study fights, and know what's next. That passion for the sport is more important than the physical aspect."
Scott continued, "She materialized that passion into the physical aspect, and we train hard four or five days a week."
Constructive Criticism
Despite the praise, Abdo admitted that she can't always escape constructive criticism from Scott. She said, "He'll tell me I have slow feet!"

Kate Abdo's dedication and passion for boxing have not gone unnoticed. Her training session with Malik Scott has left Wilder's coach in awe of her skills, proving that she is more than just a sports presenter.
