KELL BROOK attended an Eddie Hearn interview last week to demand a fight with Amir Khan.
For the better part of two-and a half years, the former IBF welterweight champion was chasing a fight with his Brit counterpart.
Kell Brook has been trying to fight Amir Khan for almost three years
He also let his promoter know that he still wants to share the ring this weekend at Fight Camp with the Olympic silver medallist.
Brook interrupted Hearn's conversation with IFL TV and said: "I've been quiet about the fight because there's more chance of it happening then."
"When I'm loud. That's the fight that is happening. Khan, get to work. Let's listen, then put it on a contract and we're good to go.
"There are a lot of discussions. It's happening this year; it has to happen."
Brook, 35, believes a bout between him and Bolton's bruiser Khan would be the second largest in British boxing.
He stated that, "Bar Fury-AJ I think it's still the biggest fight in British Boxing."
"I believe everyone will still be very excited about that fight. He [Hearn] is aware that I want to fight for it."
Hearn, Matchroom Boxing's chief, said that he is open to the contest. He added: "As you know, both men want as much as money as they can."
"So, we are just a tiny piece of that. We'll wait to see if there is a deal.
Hearn told Sheffield's slugger, "The other is that Amir Khan genuinely wants to fight, I believe."
"That's always been [the problem]. You've always wanted to fight."
Brook was curious and asked his promoter "Will it happen?"
Hearn quickly replied, "If everyone's sensible, yes."
Khan, a former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion, recently said he was open to sharing the ring. He stated: "I believe now is the right moment to make that fight with Kell.
"We have both been world champions. Both of us are British, and both live in the north.
Imagine a massive fight at Old Trafford. It would be a huge fight.
Brook has not fought since last November's failed bid to win the WBO welterweight title.
Khan has not been seen in the ring since December 2019, when he defeated Billy Dib in Saudi Arabia.
