Kid Galahad loses one OUNCE weight, but returns to the scale within the featherweight limit for Kiko Martinez bout

KID GALAHAD weighed in at a mere 1 oz. before quickly returning to the featherweight limit.

Galahad returns to Sheffield for his first defense of his IBF belt. He beat Jazza Dickens in August.

The homecoming title parade nearly fell apart after he weighed in at 125.4lb.

Even though he was stripped with only a towel over his modesty, the Brit still weighed in at 1 ounce.

Galahad was able to quickly return to the scales and reach the 125.5lb mark, just inside the 126lb limit for featherweight.

Galahad was defeated once by Josh Warrington (30) in a 2019 point loss.

He defeated Dickens (30) in 11 rounds to win the title that Warrington had lost.

Martinez, a 35-year-old Spanish veteran, has fought Scott Quigg, 33, Carl Frampton (34), and Warrington (33).

Unlucky for him was the point loss to Zelfa Barrett (28), in February.

Galahad, however, promised no such controversy when Martinez takes on him.

He stated that "forget about unification fights for now. It's all about Kiko Martinez Saturday night, going into there and doing a job.

"I don't want to win and go in there."

"He has made some poor decisions against Barrett and Warrington in the past, so I know that he will come and not leave it up to the judges' hands. That's what I plan to do.

"I'm going in there to seriously hurt him."
