Legendary Promoter Bob Arum Names the Best Fighter He's Ever Seen

Legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum, who has worked with icons like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, has named the best fighter he has ever seen in the ring.

Naoya Inoue: The Best of the Best

Arum, at 92 years old, claims that Japanese undisputed bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue, also known as "The Monster," surpasses all other fighters he's worked with, including Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

Inoue boasts an impressive 27-0 record and recently KO'd Luis Nery in the sixth round, despite experiencing his first knockdown in his career. Arum, who was ringside for the fight, expressed awe at Inoue's performance, stating, "He is not only pound-for-pound the best in the world, Inoue is the best fighter I have ever seen, no matter the weight category."

A Special Talent in the Ring

Arum, with over 60 years in the boxing realm, emphasized Inoue's exceptional skills, comparing him to past greats like Salvador Sanchez. He noted, "Inoue goes in, boxes, and knocks these guys out. What we’re seeing in Inoue is something that is really special."

Inoue, who Arum has worked with since 2019, is gearing up to face Sam Goodman next. Rumors also suggest he may appear on the undercard of an event headlined by Anthony Joshua in September.
