Tyson Fury (34), who holds the WBC title, was eliminated in the heavyweight clash. He is expected to reunite with Oleksandr Uzyk, 35.

Wilder, 36, will be back on October 15 to face Robert Helenius (38), in a separate WBC eliminator.

This means that if an ex-champion wins, it places him in line to face Ruiz to claim the belt.

His Mexican-American stable-mate, Al Haymon, called Premier Boxing Champions boss to make a deal.

Ruiz, 32 years old, stated that Robert will win against him in October.

"Me and him belong to the same organization, I want Al Haymon to be thanked for making this fight possible, and let's get on with it.

Wilder has not fought since October 2021, when he lost his fight against Fury in the Trilogy fight.

He warned Ruiz, however, that he was ready to rumble again.

Wilder stated that Deontay Wilder was back. We are always on the lookout for exciting fights that we can give our fans.

"So, if that's the next thing, I've got business to manage and then we can move on."

Ruiz rose to fame after he defeated Anthony Joshua, 32 in 2019. He lost the belts and rematch six years later.

After beating Ortiz 43, the confident contender promised to reign over them again.

Ruiz said: "I'm ready, I'm hungry man. I want to be champion once again, I want that belt to return to Mexico.
