After more than five years in the ring, DEONTAY WILDERN'S trainer Malik Scott lost his comeback fight to Sergei Kharitonov, a MMA legend.
Scott, 41, hadn't stepped into the ring since he lost it to Luis Ortiz in November 2016.
Scott was defeated by Kharitonov in six rounds
He was defeated by Kharitonov in a unanimous decision after their six-round fight in Belarus.
Both fighters were on the floor during the fight. However, Kharitonov was the one who raised his hand after the fight went to the judges.
Scott trained Wilder, a former world heavyweight champion, for his 11th round knockout loss against Tyson Fury in October last year.
He was also a sparring partner to the Alabama heavyweight, and was once an opponent. Wilder lost to him via first round knockout in 2014.

Despite losing to Russian Kharitonov, who has a 34-9 record for MMA, Scott was positive about his performance.
He spoke on Instagram and said that he felt good being back in the light last night.
"It's almost seven years since I last gloved up. It's been almost seven years since I last sparred seriously.
"When you are always teaching and learning, it keeps your body in good shape."

Wilder's future is still uncertain as he remains silent following Fury's loss.
Before Oleksandr Usyk confirmed that he was training to fight against AJ, the American had been in a fight with Anthony Joshua.
Wilder's arch-nemesis Fury will be defending his WBC title next month against Dillian Whyte, who is mandatory challenger.
