ERROL SPENCE JR will make his return to the welterweight unification for the first time since his horrific eye injury against Yordenis Urgas.
Unbeaten American boxer Manny Pacquiao was scheduled to meet him in August. He pulled out after suffering a severe retina injury during sparring.
Yordenis Urgas will be beaten by Errol Spence Jr in a welterweight unification
Ugas, 35 years old, was promoted from the undercard, shocking Pacquiao (43), who lost the WBA title, and later retired.
Spence, 31 years old, has confirmed that he will be facing the Cuban champion in his return bout in four months.
He stated, "The fight is in April." Man down, strap season. He knows the time.
Ugas requested to face Spence in a three belt WBA, WBC, and IBF 147lb unification.
Instead, he was forced to face Eimantas Stanionis, his mandatory challenger.
Ugas was furious and criticized the WBA for preventing him from pursuing a unification bout.
Stanionis, 27 years old, decided to step aside to fight Radzhab Butaev (28).
That fight will be featured on Spence's pay per view title fight with Ugas. Ugas later confirmed that talks were ongoing.
FOX Sports reported that he said, "We are targeting March or April as the fight. It will be for three titles.
"That's the fight we want. For the match against Errol, we're targeting springtime."
