A promotional company arranged a trial fight to test the Brixton-based slugger.
He was matched against a much larger man, but quickly had him gassed out and his head on the bottom rope.
The light-heavyweight said, after reflecting on the fight, to Sky Sports: "Everything seemed cool until he hit my hard.
"One week later, I saw the video, 50 Cent, [Floyd] Mayweather. Everyone was posting it. It was insane.
"Everyone was asking who this guy is?" It was that simple.
MacBones said that he likes the comparison with "The Baddest Man on The Planet", an American. I'm glad they call me Britain’s Mike Tyson.
"Let's not laugh, I got what I asked for and now I have it."

He took to Twitter to say: “Announcement for my first professional fight will be out soon can’t wait …”
Tyson was described as having a ‘peekaboo style’ of boxing, using the angles and ducking in and out – something MacBones clearly follows judging by his training clips.
And of course there was the stunning 44 KOs in 56 fights that made him one of the most-feared heavyweights of his time.
MacBones moved to London from Ghana in 2012 and has only been boxing for around four years – but has already created a menacing aura about him.
He has shared clips of him in the gym with former WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua.
Mike Tyson defeated most of his opponents. MacBones is trying to do the exact same as a pro.

MacBones has suffered six losses in amateur play, but he doesn't believe that these will limit his potential for success in the professional game.
MacBones said, "A lot criticism comes to you. How could this man lose six? He is not Mike Tyson.
"Amateur boxing is a foundation. It is the foundation of boxing before turning pro. How can you be a good boxer if you don't have an amateur record?
"I use my losses as motivation to be who I am." It makes me a savage, an animal."
The fighter's fans are eager to see him in professional action and he teased that he would be making his debut next year.
He spoke out in an interview with First Round Media. He said that he didn't want to be like the other pro boxers, who go inside and keep losing and losing.
"Obviously, I lost six fights as an amateur fighter, and I don’t want to repeat that in my professional profile."
"I'd say that next year Freezy will be out, but I cannot give you [specific] dates.
"December, October or November next year, or something else, but Freezy will come through regardless of what. It's time, baby!
