Who is Delicious Orie?
Delicious Orie, a British boxer, born in Moscow to a Nigerian father and Russian mother, is part of Team GB's boxing squad at the Paris Olympics. He started boxing at 18 and has already clinched gold at the European and Commonwealth Games.

Orie relocated to England at seven to escape racial prejudice, settling in Wolverhampton. From playing basketball in his youth to transitioning to boxing, he secured a bronze at the 2022 European Championships, followed by gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and the 2023 European Games in Poland.
Inspiration and Aspirations
Named after R&B vocalist Delicious Kennedy, Orie aims to turn professional after the Olympics, with the dream of becoming world heavyweight champion by 2029. He credits Anthony Joshua for inspiring his boxing career, aiming to follow in his footsteps.
Competing in Paris Olympics
Delicious Orie will represent Team GB in the Paris Olympics after securing his spot with a gold medal at the 2023 European Games. He will compete from Saturday, July 27 to Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the Olympic boxing competition featuring 124 male and 124 female participants across seven weight classes.
