MIKE TYSON was described as a "gentleman" after his scrap with an airplane.
After being filmed punching Melvin George Townsend III during a JetBlue flight, the former heavyweight champion was back in the news.

Additional footage revealed that Townsend, who allegedly threw Tyson a bottle, was seen arguing with the boxing legend before being given a knuckle sandwich.
Iron Mike was seen in Townsend by Tim Witherspoon, a former WBC heavyweight champion. He had been goaded for so many years.
SunSport spoke with him: "Having known him for a long time and having traveled with him on various occasions, he was always gentlemanly."
"I also knew him during the fighting days, when he was aggressive, but he was Mike Tyson being Mike Tyson.
"Personally sitting down in front of him, talking to him, he's a very kind person. But if you push him, he will push for you."
While Witherspoon may understand Tyson's motivations for hitting Townsend's, he wouldn’t have followed his lead if the roles were reversed.
He replied, "Would you have hit someone?" No. No.
"I understand that words can hurtful. If you keep pushing him, I will.
Mike is now a better Mike than he was when he was fighting. He is more relaxed now and he talks to people that he enjoys his life.
"Either Mike was angry or maybe he was just a bit too hard on himself, but I kept pushing him. He was too dangerous for me to touch."
Townsend initially refused to press charges against Tyson. However, Tyson was seen with Rick Flair at a marijuana event just hours after the incident.
Townsend, however, has hired a lawyer to represent him.
Townsend's lawyer Matt Morgan of Morgan & Morgan told TMZ that his client is a huge Mike Tyson fan.
Mike Tyson became excited when he boarded the plane. Their first encounter was cordial.
"At some point, Mr Tyson became overly excited and began striking him in an exaggerated manner.
"Contacting the flight attendant could have prevented this situation.

"Our client denied throwing a waterbottle before being struck by Mr Tyson."
Tyson has not yet commented on the incident. However, his spokesperson stated that Tyson was involved in an incident while on board a flight. He had been harassed by an aggressive passenger and threw water bottles at him from his seat.
