Mike Tyson says he dumped his ex-girlfriend after she killed and cooked one of his favorite pet pigeons.

BOXING legend Mike Tyson revealed that he broke up with his former girlfriend after she cooked one of Tyson's pigeons and consumed it in front of him.

The 55-year old is well-known for his love for birds, having taken care of them as a child in New York.

Tyson once told of how he kicked out a binman when he was only ten years old after throwing his pet pigeon into the bin.

The Baddest Man on Earth has revealed the details of how he left his partner after she demanded that they eat one his pigeons.

Tyson was asked by Boomer & Carton, an American radio station, if he has ever had the pleasure of tasting one of his birds.

He replied, "I tried. I tried.

"I was with a young lady when she said that she didn't understand why you were flying these birds. She should be eating them."

"She grabbed one, and then she made it and then she ate it. It was impossible for me to do it."

Tyson said that his ex-love Tyson boiled the pigeon.

He said, "It wasn't right to do that." This is why she's no longer my woman."

When asked why he didn’t stop her, the man replied: "It wasn't her house, and we were living off her dime, so [it] could be done]."

Tyson once said that he was a bully when he was a child after ripping the head of his pet.

He said, "The guy ripped my pigeon's head off." The pigeon was the first thing that I loved in my entire life.

"It was my first attempt at throwing a punch. Since I was nine years old, I have loved pigeons. They were my escape.

"I was fat, and ugly. I was constantly teased by my children. Pigeons were my only joy."
