Neven Pajkic floored Tyson Fury to the canvas the first time

Fury defeated Neven Pajkic, a Canadian competitor, for the Commonwealth heavyweight title.

Fury had previously beaten 16 professional opponents before his fight with Pajkic, but was finally given a wake-up call in Manchester by his fans.

Fury was knocked to the ground by Fury's 44-year-old opponent in Round 2. He was caught with a right-hook in round 2.

After Pajkic's description of Fury as "having a ugly face", he said to Sky Sports that he only cracked Fury with 30%.

"I didn't expect him to go down. I practiced the left hook and right hand. Surprise, he fell right after the first punch.

"I hoped that he would become groggy with my right hand, then I would give him the left hook.

"The right hand was supposed be a setup. He should have stayed down, because the left hook was approaching and would have put him out.

"Fury fought Nicolai Firtha, a man I had beaten. He was a tough man.

"That fight taught me everything I needed to learn. Men who take the time to study their opponents. I get it. It's just a dog fight, that's all. I did the same thing I have always done - head down and move forwards. Then I swing.

"With the same punch I dropped him with. That was what I knew. That was what I did.

Fury would quickly get back up and take his revenge on his opponent in round three.

Pajkic realized that he was fighting for a future champion at that moment.

He said, "He overcame all adversity that night and displayed his championship mentality."

Fury's famous comeback was against Deontay wilder, when he managed to get up from the ground after being brutally floored in their first fight to salvage an unpopular draw.

Before he could be crowned WBC Champ, he would need to wait 14 more months.

Pajkic said that his determination to fight and get back up separates him from the rest.

Fury kept his Commonwealth heavyweight championship belt

He said, "There is no man who can't go lower." You are going down if 250lbs puts pressure on your chin.

Fury is a good example of a man who keeps his hands down and drops his left shoulder when he jabs. He exposes himself more than he should.

"But going down? He is determined to get back up. He is different because of that.
