AJ will receive a 40% split of the purse

It might have been logical to hold a showdown under the roof of Cardiff's Principality stadium, mid-late December, especially if both could achieve record-breaking pay per-view numbers.

Frank Warren, Fury's promoter at 34 years old, has revealed that the fight offer was for a November fight. This gives AJ less than two months to recover after his August 20 loss against Oleksandr Usyk.

Warren stated to talkSPORT that it was a voluntary defense and that AJ is a world champion, so it should not be a problem making the fight.

"I believe the terms we're sending are very fair.

"We are being fair. If they want to make the offer public, everyone will be shocked."

AJ will receive a 40% split of the largest purse in British boxing history.

This is 10 percent more than he would have received if he were a mandatory challenger, or ranked in WBC's top-15.

Joshua isn’t ranked by WBC so Fury will need to pick him with permission from Mexican sanctioning bodies to make the long-awaited domestic dust up happen.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING OFFER - GET PS50 BACK AS CASH

Fury beat Dillian Whyte in April, but he was already in the courtroom having lost his fight for more that a 20 percent cut of their 94,000 Wembley sale-out.

The Body Snatcher was the WBC's interim, silver and diamond champions and was the mandatory challenger.

He was nevertheless forced to accept a small slice of the tickets, PPV pie and other perks.

AJ is however looking for a much better purse than his old opponent - despite having lost two fights.

His undisputed status as a boxing star and two-time reigns as WBA, IBF, and WBO king would make it easier for him to win the fight.

Joshua would have struggled to get more than a 20% cut of the purse if Team Fury hadn't been so generous.
