The date and location of the 2022 targeted bout have not been set.

Fury is now free to choose any opponent, even though Dillian Whyte was not chosen by the WBC as his mandatory challenger.

Fury and Usyk have fought 51 fights between them without losing. They currently hold every belt in the heavyweight division.

Alexander Krassyuk, Usyk's promoter, has now told Sky Sports that his fighter is available to face the Gypsy King – depending on AJ.

He stated that the talks about AJ's departure have been ongoing since Fury KO’d Wilder.

Joshua may consider stepping down if the money is right. He feels respect for the division and is ready to see the undisputed heavyweight champion happen.

"Usyk said that he could fight Fury next if AJ permits it."

Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, did not respond to Krassyuk’s comments.

He has also previously stated that the plans of his man for a Usyk rematch were in place.

He stated that AJ was already in camp mentally and physically for the Usyk rematch and that it is all he has been thinking about since the night before the fight.
