ROY JONES JR warned Oleksandr Uzyk not to fight Canelo Alvarez - even if he could win easy'.
Canelo is currently the undisputed super-middleweight champion and is ready to make a spectacular move to cruiserweight.
Roy Jones Jr. has warned Oleksandr Usyk against lowering his cruiserweight
It was the division that Usyk ruled before he moved up to heavyweight and defeated Anthony Joshua.
Jones, a boxing legend, backed Canelo to make light work of Canelo but believes that going back down in weight is a mistake.
According to him, iFLTV was too big for Canelo. Canelo wins easily against Usyk, but I believe Usyk is the heavyweight champion in the world.
"Why would you drop to cruiserweight when your heavyweight title is at stake?"
"Look at the events that occurred when Chad Dawson was promoted from light heavyweight to fight Andre Ward at number 168. This was the end for his career.
"Why would anyone do that to themselves when they have Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz?"

"Usyk against Fury is right now one of the most important fights on the planet." Joshua versus Usyk is another big fight.
Canelo, 31 years old, requested that the WBC accept his request to increase to cruiserweight to challenge him for their belt.
Joshua, 32, will be rematching Usyk (34), in April after he won the unified heavyweight titles last September.
The day before, he weighed 15st 11lbs. This is more than THREE-AND A-HALF STONE more than the 12st Canelo weighed in at super-middleweight.
Jones, 52, suggested that Usyk may be using Alvarez’s name to put pressure on Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, in advance of rematch negotiations.
He stated: "If that fight is to be used as a negotiation tool, then that makes sense.
"If they don't pay you enough to fight Joshua and you're getting twice as much to fight Canelo, then maybe they aren't paying you enough."
If it isn't, it's a business decision.
"If you have more money to fight someone else, that's fine. But why would you gamble your chance of being beat by somebody you don't like? When all you need is to stay the same and be the best, you should.
"Like I said it, he probably uses it as a negotiation tool because they aren't paying him what he wants to fight Joshua.
He's right. If I can make a Canelo fight, and make double- or triple the money, it makes sense.
