OLEKSANDR USYK has hinted that he might vacate all his heavyweight titles if he emerges victorious in his upcoming historic unification fight against Tyson Fury. The two heavyweights are set to clash in the division's first four-belt unification bout in Saudi Arabia next Saturday.
Usyk eyes all four heavyweight titles
The highly anticipated bout aims to determine the undisputed champion who will hold all four major titles - WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO. Usyk, who previously achieved this feat in the cruiserweight division before moving up, is considering the possibility of moving back down after the fight.
Fury vs. Usyk postponed
The original fight date was postponed to allow Fury to recover from a sparring injury that required over ten stitches. Usyk, in good spirits, jokingly suggested that Fury deserves an "Oscar" if he faked the injury, emphasizing his own readiness for the bout.
Usyk's determination and focus
Usyk expressed his eagerness for the fight, stating, "It’s the most important fight of my career... My victory is the victory of the entire Ukrainian people." He also shared concerns about potential injuries affecting the bout and emphasized the significance of honoring the signed contract for the fight.
