OLEKSANDR USAYK claims that messages from Ukrainian soldiers fighting Russians are fuelling his quest to defeat Anthony Joshua again.
To accept the Saudi rematch, the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight champion had to flee his country of birth in March.
Usyk will be competing to defend his world titles this weekend in Saudi Arabia
Video messages from Ukrainian soldiers are inspiring him
The 35-year-old Usyk has received many videos and messages from war-torn countriesmen to encourage him to repeat last year's win over Joshua in Tottenham.
He stated that he was not motivated by news or war.
"I am inspired by the people of Ukraine, who are trying hard to defend independence, to defend freedom, and to defend culture that other people want destroyed and demolished, they don’t want us anymore."
"I keep in touch with many soldiers, military men and frontline personnel.
"I receive video and voice messages from them, with words of support as well as news about their prayers for me and my victory.
"They are praying for my victory, and they are holding on tight to me," I said.
Joshua, 32, hopes that Robert Garcia, his new coach, will help him to regain his titles.
However, Usyk is able to outdo that by having Ukraine's No1 in his corner. President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is sending messages support.

Usyk said, "It's their real acts that motivate me."
"If the President and Prime Minister of Ukraine had resigned in the first days, it would have been a terrible thing. It would have left the Ukrainian people without hope.
"But he didn’t. This is what motivated us to fight and stand strong.
"I'm pretty certain that if there was another president, we wouldn't have moved in the positive direction we have."
