De La Hoya (49) was responding to questions from the fans on Inside Boxing Live with Dan Canobbio.

After claiming he would be running against Donald Trump in 2020, the Golden Boy was asked if it would be possible for him to run for president in 2024.

De La Hoya laughed, however: "No more presidential race."

He said, "There may be opportunities in Vegas for you to run as mayor." What do you think?

"It will be interesting to see how I can run for mayor of Las Vegas."

Promoter turned boxer, he is building a Las Vegas home.

De La Hoya is attempting to organize a megafight between Ryan Garcia, Gervonta "Tank" Davis.

He also said that he would offer's*** loads' of money to make the fight, after Davis quit Floyd Mayweather's promotional staff.

De La Hoya said to TMZ: Tank, I know that you had your last fight against Floyd Mayweather. I respect Floyd Mayweather and believe he did a great job with your career.

"But, I'm willing to make a multi-million-dollar offer to you to fight Ryan Garcia.

"It will be the largest purse Tank Davis has ever won."

"We are ready and willing to split broadcasters so we can have this fight at Showtime PPV or The Zone PPV.

Let's fight for justice.

"Everyone makes money, and we give fight fans what they want."

Both fighters are currently unbeaten. Davis holds the WBA lightweight title for more than two years.
