TYSON FURY’S wife Paris has slammed My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding's negative portrayal of the traveller population.
The 31-year old has taken aim at Channel 4 ahead of the publication of her book, Love and Fury, which will be available on October 28.
Paris Fury believes My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is a negative portrayal of the traveller community
Paris believes that the documentary, which ran for four seasons from 2010 to 2015, showed 'gypsies as a terrible light'.
Paris answered talkSPORT's question about whether the traveller community was misrepresented. She said, "One million percent it is."
"There is so much out there. You had that documentary years ago, 'The Big Fat Gypsy Wedding,' which portrays full Gypsies in an awful light.
"There is someone like Tyson and me that will say, 'You know, we're normal people, but we come from gypsy backgrounds'.
"And we stand on the strength of our own to show that there is more than one world. They are their own people, regardless of race or culture.
"And you have to treat everyone as an individual and that is what happens in the gypsy cultural, you get many branded as one type and that I don't believe should happen.
"And in my book, I explain that I had that prejudice."
Paris, who is a mother to six children, shared a prediction that Fury would retire in two years.
She said, "I think for myself, I think that he will do it for a few years more. He's 33 years old now. I believe he will continue until he reaches 35.
"I know Wladimir Klitschko and other men who have continued on until their 40s, but how do you continue to lose your mind?
"I don’t know what to do, but Tyson would not let me see that." He should stop.
"If you're not too far along, there's always someone younger and fresher to replace you.
"I think Tyson should be able to rest easy for another two-three more years."
Paris also spoke out about her shock at Tyson's use of drugs. She described it as one the "lowest points" in her life.
