Friday saw the pair face-to-face for the first time since the announcement of the bout. It was dubbed Eubank Benn III after their famous 1990s meetings.

Eubank Jr. wore a Floyd Mayweather-style jacket, which retails at $10,000 (PS8,246).

Eubank was clearly the larger of the two men when they measured each other in a stare-off.

Benn will be moving up from welterweight (147lbs), and Eubank Jr will be dropping down from middleweight (160-lbs).

Eubank's size is a reason why a rehydration clause was put in place that limits him to the maximum weight he can eat each morning.

The 32-2 fighter claims that this is to stop the bout becoming a one-way demolition job.

He stated, "I cannot be 100 percent when I have to drop to a weight that I've never reached and then I can no longer rehydrate fully."

"That's fair because if I am 100 percent it's public execution, then I must be at a disadvantage in order to make the fight reasonable.

"I'll be 60% on the night, which will allow me to do anything I want with you."

In 1990, Chris Eubank Sr defeated Nigel Benn by stoppage when the fathers met.

Three years later, the pair controversially drew the second contest in a match many believed Benn had won enough.

Conor, Nigel's younger brother, is motivated to seek retribution for these two fights.

He stated that "Dad had a draw in the last fight, but we know he should've won."

"I'm going to just go in there and manage business, and then I settle the scores."
