Nieves, the mother of former boxer Prichard Colon, has shared an update on her son's health, along with some new videos showcasing his progress. In one video, Colon can be seen attending a truck rally, seemingly enjoying himself. Another video shows him brushing his own teeth, a positive step forward in his recovery.

Enjoying Life

The first video, captioned "Enjoying life," was shared on Facebook and received an array of positive messages in the comments section. It shows Colon watching trucks pass by at the rally, clearly having a good time.

Improving Independence

In the second video, Nieves provides an update on Colon's health with the caption "I can brush now." This video shows that the former super welterweight is now able to brush his own teeth, a significant achievement following his horrific accident.

The Long Road to Recovery

Colon suffered a brain bleed during a fight with Terrel Williams in 2015, resulting in part of his skull collapsing due to repeated blows to the back of his head. He spent 221 days in a coma and has been receiving care at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Orange Park, Florida since then.
