ANTHONY JOSHUA won't be looking at retirement if he loses to Oleksandr Uzyk again.

The British heavyweight champion was defeated in 12 rounds last September. Usyk will rematch the match on August 20th in Saudi Arabia.

A win by AJ makes him a three-belt unified champion, and he is now primed to face Tyson Fury (33).

Joshua could be left out of the heavyweight picture if Usyk, 35 is defeated in the Saudi heat.

Eddie Hearn, AJ's promoter, insists that even the worst scenario will not be the end.

Intu Boxing was shocked when he said this. AJ loves boxing; it is his passion.

"When he lost against Usyk, the number of people in the sector messaged me saying, I think he should retirement now.'

"I said, "He just lost to No 1 or 2 pound-for-pound." He hasn't had as many fights.

"He loves the sport and I'm sure that he will be around for a long while, but we would prefer to win."

This is a reassurance after David Haye (41), ex-heavyweight champion, said Joshua could RETIRE in defeat against Usyk again.

Haye stated that if he does not win, he will not want to be in a sport in which he knows he's not the best.

"He was out-hustled by a person he knows he could beat, and if he does everything right and Usyk beats him, - I don’t know what else he can do in the sport.

"He is so a winner, that I don’t know what he will do next, if it loses again.

"He believes that he has the physical ability to defeat Usyk. So do I. With the right plan, he can win the victory."
