EDDIE HEARN said Canelo Alvarez would love to fight for England', as the promoter hinted at a headliner at Wembley.
In his 59-fight career, the boxing icon has never left America or Mexico.
Canelo Alvarez would "love to fight for England"
Hearn, who promoted Canelo as a free agent in his three previous fights, will try to change that.
When asked on Instagram Live about Alvarez (30), coming to Wembley he said: "I've already spoken to Canelo about coming here to fight next year."
"And he would like to do it. Love to fight in England."
Hearn promoted Canelo’s victories over Callum Smith (31), Avni Yoldirim (30), and Billy Joe Saunders (31), all of which were recently aired on DAZN's sports streaming service.
He will not be present for Alvarez’s super-middleweight title decider against Caleb Plant (29), over the weekend.
Canelo's win would make him the undisputed champion for his entire career.
He will have made a clear decision about what to do next.
Hearn previously disclosed a plan to acquire the No1 international pound-for pound.
In May, he told Sky Sports: "His plan is to go now and become undisputed – that's a fight against Caleb Plant.
"And from there, he wants go and box all over the world.
"He would love to fight in England, I think his popularity there is unstoppable. What's the point of him being beaten? Over the years, seven UK fighters have been defeated.
He said that he would love to fight here and that he would love to fight in the Far East, the Middle East, and Mexico in a big show.
"I believe you're going to see him box all over the world.
"He said that he wanted to fight for seven years more, so I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot Canelo Alvarez."
