The Taylor camp wants to fight in Croke Park

Bray native, she defended her undisputed title as world champion on Saturday when Serrano defeated her in a historic bout.

Taylor defeated the thrilling bout by a split decision to become Madison Square Garden's first female headliner.

According to reports, work is underway to bring both fighters to Dublin to perform for the GAA headquarters. They expect to attract as many as 90,000.

Taylor has not fought in Ireland since turning professional in 2016, when Taylor was filmed at the Regency Hotel in 2015. Gangland boss Daniel Kinahan and Taylor's involvement with boxing made it difficult for him to stage blockbuster fights.

The time is right for a historic Dublin bout, despite the collapse of MTK Global, cofounded by Kinahan.

Eddie Hearn, Taylor's promoter, said that he would love to see Taylor take on Ireland before she ends her career.

Hearn would need to convince DAZN, a streaming broadcaster, to take the fight to the United States.

Reports also suggest that talks have been held about broadcasting the fight live from Ireland on RTE.

Hearn stated to ESPN that Croke Park would be his first choice for the rematch.

He stated, "Croke Park is in Ireland. She has never fought in Ireland.

"There have been political problems in boxing. There haven't been any shows. Boxing has not been very popular.

"There is a lot of frustration and hoops to jump through. You will see the same comments every time you fight.

"This is Ireland’s greatest fighter, perhaps their greatest sports star. She could not possibly fight in Ireland.

"You would run 60k in Croke Park. It would be the most beautiful night, and she deserves it so much.

Katie answered a question about whether she would be interested in another fight against Serrano from Puerto Rico. All of us want to see the best against the best. It would be amazing to see the best versus the best.

"If it were in Dublin, we could sell Croke Park to 90,000. It would be amazing.

"We saw something special tonight, but imagine fighting in front 80,000 or 90,000. People in Croke Park. It is possible for it to happen.
