Fury's hopes for meeting AJ ended when Joshua lost to Oleksandr Uzyk

Deontay Wilder was knocked out by Fury in the 11th round.

He lost to Oleksandr Uzyk, and his hopes of a huge Battle of Britain match with Anthony Joshua were dashed.

Hatton believes Fury, 33 years old, should forget all that and begin to think about calling it a night.

According to him, Tyson has proven himself. He had the trilogy with Wilder and beat [Wladamir] Klitschko.

"Tyson is not like AJ. He's had to deal with depression, drugs, and alcohol. All he wants now is to win the defining fights and get out of the game.

Let's be clear, Tyson can't prove anything if he wants to retire.

Tyson, like AJ, wants to know who the best of him and AJ.

"But Tyson cannot wait two more years to fight him and he fights with him, he'll want in and out right away.

"He also deserves it. Paris, his wife, doesn't want him to be there being knocked on the a*** every five mins.

"Tyson has done his job as far as my concern.

"It would be a shame if the AJ fighting doesn't take place, and if it does, it must happen quickly because Tyson is ready to hang up his gloves right now.

"As his friend I want him to hang up - he has nothing to prove."

The mouthwatering prospect Fury vs AJ was put on hold by Usyk's unanimous point decision.

"FORGET THEAJ FIGHT"

Bob Arum and Frank Warren, the Gypsy King's promoters, have instructed Joshua to step aside in order to allow Fury to defeat Usyk.

Eddie Hearn quickly dismissed the notion and stated that Usyk and AJ will be meeting again in early next year.

Hatton believes Fury should be extinguished from his thoughts about the AJ fight.

He said, "He's got the to forget about the AJ fight. It might not happen."

"He has to do the undisputed, win all the belts, and be proud of his accomplishments.

"He was at bottom of the ladder a couple years ago, and to now be undisputed champion, he can keep his head up high."

Fury has had to overcome personal demons and his triumph over despair to become the Gypsy King makes him one of the greatest heavyweights ever, Hatton says.

He said, "Everyone has their own view [on the top heavyweights in history].

"Muhammad Ali will always be the greatest, in everyone's eyes, for reasons other than boxing.

"Some people would mention Lennox Lewis while others might say Tyson was a little too complicated.

"Would I be unfair to say that he's got the top five?" "I would absolutely say that."
