RICKY HATTON revealed the secrets to his incredible seven-week transformation before he returns to the squared circle to face Marco Antonio Barrera.

The 43-year-old boxing legend will be fighting in an exhibition bout of eight rounds on July 2.

Hatton had a strict diet before his fight on July 2.

Barrera is being taken on by the Hitman

Famously, the Hitman ballooned between fights and drank a lot of alcohol, junk food, and drank 12 cups of tea per day. He now follows a strict diet.

Hatton has seen a drop in weight of more than two stone in just seven weeks.

Hatton spoke out about his diet before the fight and said that he likes beer. But, you can't. That is what I believe is the most important thing about the weight.

"If you go out for pints seven days per week, you won't be carrying a six pack."

Tyson Fury, WBC World Heavyweight Champion, has expressed his gratitude to Hatton about his weight loss.

Fury, 33, posted this on Instagram: "Get up my boy!"

"Very proud to @rickyhitmanhatton of losing (sic) all weight and getting fit again."

Hatton also had the opportunity to spar with his 21-year-old son Campbell as part of his training camp.

The beaming dad shared two photos of the family sparring session and wrote: "Very emotion day for me as father today.

"Couldn’t be prouder about @campbellhatton as everyone knows...

"But I never imagined he'd turn pro, and I certainly never thought that I'd be in a training center sparring with him.

"Had many proud moments over the years... that was up there."
