Roy Jones Jr, a BOXING legend, wants Tyson Fury to be separated from Oleksandr Uzyk 'by all means necessary' because he fears boredom.
Jones was present as an analyst at the ringside to see Usyk perform a 12-round masterclass against Anthony Joshua.
After beating Anthony Joshua
, Oleksandr Usyk was named the heavyweight world champion.
It has put to rest the hopes of a Battle of Britain between Joshua (31), and Fury (33) for the moment.
Now, Usyk (34), will be adding Fury's WBC belt into his collection of shiny new WBA and IBF straps.
Jones, an American icon who is not keen on the idea of American icons playing chess with the masterful champions, predicts a tame match.
DAZN was told by he: "I hope that it doesn't happen." Two boxers are not the best combination for a fight.
"We must keep Usyk, Fury apart by all means. We don't want to see this.
"It is imperative that any contract contain a clause saying, "Do not permit Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury fight."
"We don't need it for boxing."
Joshua has a contract that includes a rematch clause, just like he did against Andy Ruiz Jr. 32 in June 2019.
Jones, who has won titles at every weight from middleweight to heavyweight, has confirmed that he will exercise it.
He said, "This fight was excellent tonight. This is what boxing requires. We don't have to be fighting the same fights as before.
"We need these kinds of real fights. We hope Joshua wins the rematch. It was an amazing fight.
"We would love to see another great fight like this. We'd love to see it again. We don't want Usyk Fury to see. We won't see anyone else."
