Oscar De La Hoya, his promoter, has given Ryan Garcia a slap on the face amid his Floyd Mayweather and Canelo alvarez blast.
Garcia trained and mentored Canelo once before they parted ways.

It led Mayweather, 45 to defend Canelo 31.
Garcia, 23 years old, responded: "They need to stop me, and they need to stop my talking."
"It could have been Floyd, or it could be Canelo. Add all the GOATs to their needs. They won't stop me."
Garcia's reply caused De La Hoya (49), to step in and act as mediator.
He stated, "You must respect fighters with experience, fighters that are legends, world champions, or who have something to share, and people listen when you talk."
Garcia and Canelo got into a heated argument when they compared their careers.
On DAZN, he said: "He's just a little child."
He said, "Do your job, concentrate on your career, win the world championship first, then you can talk about other people."
"Because your achievements are insignificant, you begin to talk about fighters who have achieved a lot.
"When I turned 20, I was a world champion in swimming."
Garcia retorted, "It might have been true. However, everyone's journey is unique.
"He fought against Matthew Hatton for a vacant title. It's the truth. My division is full of great people.
"I cannot pick Matthew Hatton to become a champion. I must fight great fighters.
It is what it is. He fought Matthew Hatton. You can see the level.
"When I get my chance, it will most likely be against Gervonta. You tell me, what's more valuable?
Commentators suggested that Mayweather, Garcia's rival, Davis, 27, defend Canelo after beating him nine years ago.
FightHype reported that he said: "You see Ryan Garcia, first he's praising Canelo. Wanna learn from Canelo in Canelo’s training camp.
"Now it's all hatred. He is not my favorite. This is not what I like. He is not my favorite.
"Achieve what Canelo has done, and then talk poorly about him.
"But you don’t have to say anything bad about him anyway, because we all need our own paths and do what is best for us."
