RYOTA MURATA claims GennadyGolovkin is "past their prime".
Golovkin, however, has decided to retire ahead of their Japan middleweight unification fight.
Ryota Murata claimed Gennady Gorlovkin is "past his prime"
Kazakh fighter Hassan Khazakh has never suffered defeat in 43 fights. He lost his 2018 rematch against Canelo Alvarez.
This was one year after the controversial draw, when many believed GGG had been unfairly denied a win in Las Vegas.
Murata, 36 years old, admitted that the middleweight legend was difficult to achieve, but believes Golovkin's brilliantest moments have been preserved.
SunSport reported that the Japanese fighter said: "Yes, I found it questionable that Canelo made their decision in both fights." It doesn't matter if GGG is unbeaten.
MORE IN BOXING
"I believe he has outlived his prime. It will be crucial to me how I execute my strengths in the ring."
Golovkin, 39 years old, has not fought since December 2020, when he stopped Pole Kamil Zeremeta (32), in seven rounds.
He was scheduled to unify his IBF belt and Murata's WBA version in April, but coronavirus restrictions halted that.
Their rescheduled Saturday date in Saitama, live on DAZN on Saturday, is just days away. This marks an anticipated return of one of the most devastating boxers in boxing.
Golovkin stated: "I am always excited to get back into the ring and it is great that boxing has returned."
"The whole approach, the whole tradition of boxing are still alive.
"I am also happy that I have the strength to continue to show quality boxing to my supporters. You'll see me in the ring.
"Officially, there are some emotions due to age, but I don't feel frustrated because I didn't have the chance to get in to the ring for quite some time.
The ring will be completely professional and you won't feel any emotion. It will be completely professional.
Golovkin's win puts him in position for a trio bout with Canelo next September.
However, Murata isn't going to try and steal GGG's super-fight.
He stated that he didn't feel motivated to pursue the matter. He said, "I don't have any motivation on that matter. I'm a middleweight so I have never considered that fight."
Canelo, 31 years old, will be facing Dmitry Bivol (WBA light-heavyweight champion), on May 7.
It is believed that Golovkin and the Mexican superstar have verbally agreed to renew their rivalry.
GGG, however, refused to say whether the pen was actually put to paper and instead chose to concentrate on the task at hand.

He stated that it was premature to have a conversation, as there are too many "ifs". One fighter can beat the other fighter, and so forth.
Let's wait until May. We'll wait until our fights are over. Then we can talk and get a better understanding.
