SAVANNAH MARSHALL believes she may have to get a job once Claressa Shields is overthrown.
Hartlepool's ace Marshall, 30 will be confirmed as a summer matchup with the self-proclaimed Greatest Woman Of All Time, if she wins tonight's routine defense of her WBO middleweight title contre Femke Hermans.
Savannah Marshall hopes to face Claressa Shields, but must first beat Femke Hermans
Shields (27), is a two time Olympic middleweight champion, and three-weight world champion -- her last loss was against Marshall in 2012 when they were evenly matched amateurs.
Marshall's 11-0 professional career was geared toward this grudge match with the American, and she acknowledges that there are no other options.
The Silent Assassin stated: "I did a Zoom interview once in the morning and the first question was, does Claressa shields motivate you?' I hadn't woken up yet and bit his head off!
"But I know the boxing business, and as a woman in the higher weight classes, there is no greater fight for me.

"Look at the lower weights for British girls now, there is lots competition and options, it hasn't been like that for my life and it won't change.
"There is only Claressa Shields fighting there for me. I will ride it until the end.
"Because once it is done, I will wonder where there are more to go?"
"I have been boxing since I was 11 years old, and full-time since 17 years. Maybe it is time to find a job."
Modest Marshall was overwhelmed by the expectation and attention surrounding the 2012 and 2016 Games. She almost gave up before she got to the point of making a difference.
She has enjoyed getting paid for her punches since she teamed up with Peter Fury, Tyson Fury’s uncle.

She stated that she was going to stop boxing after 2016.
"When I became a pro, everything was a bonus. I have exceeded all expectations and the nervous have been replaced by excitement.
"All the hard work is now in the gym, and the hard spars. I drove there thinking, "Oh God, what is Peter going have me do today? Shall I just say that I had a crash!"
"But it really has never been as enjoyable for me."
