Sir Lindsay Hoyle, House of Commons Speaker, refers Jack Catterall’s loss to Taylor POLICE as Government Launch Probe

Sir Lindsay Hoyle, House of Commons Speaker, has referred JACK CATTERALL's controversial loss against Josh Taylor to the POLICE.

Catterall, a Chorley clubber, was robbed last month of the undisputed light-welterweight titles due to terrible scorecards by judges Victor Loughlin and Ian John-Lewis.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the MP for Chorley, has referred the matter the police

Hoyle, the MP for Chorley, has written a letter to former Metropolitan Police Chief Cressida Dick about the matter.

According to him, The Daily Mail reported that "Everyone is disgusted at what's been done - it brings down the sport."

"I must question why the judges did it so wrong." I already wrote a letter to police."

Hoyle also spoke to Nadine Dorries, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and Nigel Huddleston, Minister for Sport, about the fight.

He said: "I spoke to Nadine Dorries, Secretary of State Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and Nigel Huddleston, Minister for Sport - they both are looking into it."

"I believe there was something serious going on here. Whether it was undue influences, one must ask why."

"Unless this is addressed, young athletes will not be able to participate in the sport."

"What's the point in training hard and following the rules when it can happen?"

The British Board of Boxing Control has pledged to investigate Taylor's controversial defense of his four light-welterweight titles.

Catterall, who was heartbroken, claimed that Taylor had committed corruption in scoring his Glasgow rendezvous with Taylor. Taylor insists that he did more than enough for his titles to be retained.

He stated that he thought he'd done enough. I began slowly as I tried to find my timing.

He was taking the larger shots. He tried to spoil the party, he lean in a lot, and there was a clash between heads.

Josh Taylor insists he did enough for his light-welterweight title.

"I don't lie, he caught my eye with a few good shots.

It wasn't my best performance. With the homecoming and my first fight in three years, I was under a lot of pressure.

"I put too much pressure on my self to put on a great show, but it didn’t matter in the final. It was close. It was very close.

"I gave him some success by loading up, but I scored the most meaningful shots.

He said, "He put on a great fight, but he knows that he didn’t win the fight." In the second half, I took control."
