UFC chief Dana White disapproved of Kamaru Usman's wish to fight Canelo alvarez after Caleb Plant beat him.
Alvarez, 31, was dominant over Plant, before knocking him out after the 11th round. He became the first undisputed super-middleweight champion.
Kamaru Usman called Canelo alvarez out earlier this week, before defending his UFC Welterweight title
White is undefeated since 2013, and holds five belts. Usman also maintained his impeccable UFC record that night. White believes he would be unable to beat Alvarez.
White replied to a question about Usman's call for Alvarez earlier in the week: "I saw the Canelo fight tonight.
"He doesn’t want Canelo to fight him, he doesn’t want Canelo to fight him."
"C'mon man, let's stop this ***."!"
Ring magazine has Alvarez ranked the best pound for pound boxer in the entire world.
Although Usman is 34 years old, he has the height advantage over the world champion and knock-out power. It would still be a significant step to trade the Octagon in favor of the ring.
After dominating the Welterweight division, with 14 consecutive wins, the Nigerian is eager to take on a new challenge.
Alvarez believes Usman is just looking for a "payday", and shrugged off the suggestion of a fight.
Colby Covington was defeated by Usman for the second time at UFC 268 on Saturday. This is his fifth defense of the 170lb belt.
