Lopez hasn’t been in the Ring since Vasyl Lomachenko beat Lopez in spectacular fashion over a Year ago. This was due to many issues.

Although the Brooklyn fighter was scheduled to face Kambosos, an IBF mandatory challenger in June at a Triller Show, Covid came down with him weeks before the fight.
It was moved to August and then to two dates in October. Triller, the promoter, hoped to find a suitable date to host the fight.
Triller lost their rights to promote this fight to the IBF. The next highest bidder was Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom and DAZN who quickly arranged a date.

Lopez has said that he is in trouble. He will be killed.
