Josh Taylor, undisputed champion super-lightweight Josh Taylor

His furious father refused to accept the loss, claiming that they had not lost a single round.

SecondsOut was told by Lopez Sr. "It wasn't hard for him. He won every round. He won each round, according to me.

"You can give Kambosos three rounds, four rounds or even two rounds. But what happened was terrible."

Kambosos (28), had Lopez (24), down in round one. Lopez even managed to get up on the floor in round ten before taking the win.

CompuBox stats show that the traveling challenger scored more shots than the champion, with 182 shots to his credit, compared to the champion’s 176.

Kambsos also had more power punches than Lopez with 155 instead of Lopez's 115.

With 31.2 percent of his thrown shots landing on the ground, the American was more precise than Kambosos with 24.6 percent.

Lopez did not have a rematch clause in his mandatory title defense and his father confirmed that they would not be pursuing a second fight.

Instead, they will be moving up to the 140lb super lightweight division, where Taylor (30 from Scotland) reigns supreme.

Lopez Sr said: "No rematch, man. I made a mistake by leaving my son at 135 for so long. In this game, you have to knock everyone out.

"If you don’t knock everyone out, this is what will happen. It was a complete robbery. We dictated the fight right from the start, aggressively taking all the points.

"Everybody knows what happened. Everyone says he won 9-3, 10-2, the entire arena saw it, and it was disgusting.

"I couldn't believe what they did to us. They just stained our skin, but you know what?

"We're going to go up to 140, fight Josh Taylor in February, then fight Josh Taylor again in the spring. We will do exactly what we promised.

"This does not change anything. I don't believe that decisions can be compromised in the same way as they were in the Olympics.

"Everything is possible to buy, that's why my boy teaches it." "You have to take them out."
