ERROL SPENCE JR is back in training following successful surgery to his eye. He was seen skipping in his gym.
Manny Pacquiao, a legend in boxing, was the WBC and IBF unified champion at welterweight.
After successful surgery to his eye
, Errol Spence Jr. has returned to training
Spence had to withdraw two weeks prior after suffering an injury during sparring that left him with a retinal tear.
Cuban Yordenis, 35, was promoted from the undercard to be filled in to beat Pacquiao (42), who soon announced his retirement.
Spence, 31 years old, has resumed training after Derrick James, his coach, posted a photo of Spence with Marcus Browne (30, light-heavyweight).
In a fight last September, Danny Garcia (33), was defeated by the unbeaten Texan. This was Garcia's first fight since he survived a car accident that left him paralysed.
Spence was charged with DWI (Driving While Irtoxicated) following the October 2019 high-speed accident where his Ferrari flipped.
He made a complete recovery and beat Garica in 12 rounds.
Spence wants to fight the greatest names in the division, despite losing a super-fight against Pacquiao.
Terence Crawford, a long-time rival, questioned the recovery process of Spence from the eye injury.
Crawford, 34, stated that he didn't think the fight should have taken so long. Since then, he's sustained two injuries.
"Who knows if Errol Spencer will ever be the same fighter he once was, when he was the boogeyman in the division?"
