TERENCE CRAWFORD said he would leave Top Rank - and that he is looking to fight Errol Spence Jr.
The American star saw the end of his deal with Bob Arum. He was stopped by Shawn Porter.
Terence Crawford has announced that he will be leaving Top Rank
Crawford stated that he was continuing to move forward in the post-fight press conference. Arum was seated next to Crawford.
He stated, "I'm pretty certain my decision has been made already.
"Bob could not secure me the Spence bout when I was with his, so how will he secure me that fight when I'm with him?"
"I am moving forward with my career now, and I wish everyone the best."
Spence, 31, was at ringside to see Porter, 34, lose round ten after two knockdowns.
Crawford, 34, replied: "He was at mine fight?" He said that he wouldn't come to my fight, but now he is there.
"You saw what my actions were compared to his [against Porter]. Which welterweight is No1 now?
"All of you know who I want. He's been calling me out. Perhaps I'll gain 154 pounds. Perhaps Spence Jr. will fight me."
Porter was unified champion Spence defeated by Spence on points in 2019, as well as wins over Kell Brook (34), Mikey Garcia (33) and Danny Garcia (33)
Crawford, a three-division king, claims to be the true ruler of welterweight.
He stated, "I don’t need Spence Jr.
"I am a three-weight world champion and undisputed world champ. I moved to the welterweight division, where I won a title in my very first fight."
Spence, who was 42, was scheduled to face Manny Pacquiao in August, as he defends his WBC- and IBF titles.
He suffered an eye injury while sparring, and had to have surgery. Yordenis Ugas (35), replaced him to beat the now-retired Pacquiao.
Spence said he plans to fight again in the early part of next year, as he continues his rehabilitation.
EsNEWS was told by him: "Everybody must wait. I'm returning with a big one. It's going be big when I return.
"I'll still be at 147. I hope to fight again in February and March. We'll see."
