Usyk's Comments Cast Doubt
Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian heavyweight champion, has raised concerns about his proposed bout with Tyson Fury. His recent comments regarding his training camp have suggested that the fight may be delayed.
December Showdown Targeted
A matchup between Fury and Usyk had been targeted for December 23, with both fighters planning to put their heavyweight titles on the line.
Usyk's Training Requirements
However, Usyk has now revealed that he needs 14 weeks to prepare for each of his fights. He also stated that he has yet to start training and will not do so until the exact date of the fight against Fury is confirmed.
Usyk's Training Routine
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Usyk explained, "I can't say that everything's OK, but I'm fine. Some wounds, old injuries need to be healed. Everything's under control. I do my training sessions every day, but I need 14 weeks for my camp. It would be enough time for me. The first weeks I'm doing my work that helps me to get ready for the training camp. Then I'm working hard for the next 12 weeks."

Usyk's Recent Victory
In August, Usyk successfully defended his IBF, IBO, WBA Super, and WBO heavyweight titles against Daniel Dubois, securing a ninth-round knockout victory in Poland.
Fury's Next Fight
Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is set to take on former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia next weekend. Although Fury's WBC world title will not be on the line, the 10-round fight will count as an official bout.
