TYSON FURY was accused of choosing 'the safer choice' and fighting Dillian Whyte over Oleksandr Usyk.
The reigning heavyweight champions had been in discussions for a historic unification of heavyweights in Saudi Arabia.

To reach a deal, Anthony Joshua would have to forfeit his rematch against Usyk and Dillian whyte to make way for his WBC title shot.
AJ refused to accept the terms of the agreement and claimed that Fury requested a warm-up fight prior to facing Usyk. This would have meant that Fury would need to miss two bouts.
The Gypsy King retorted and claimed Usyk (35), would not be ready until June. This would have meant they would choose an interim opponent.
Sergey Lapin, the Ukrainian assistant coach, has now weighed in. He blasted Fury, 33, for wanting to fight Whyte 33 years ago.
Lapin spoke with MyBettingSites and said that Usyk was always available for any challenger. He was also one of the first to agree to host a unification against Tyson Fury.

Due to the invasion of Russia by Ukraine, Joshua's contract rematch with Usyk is still uncertain.
The unbeaten two-weight champion has enlisted with the Kyiv Territorial Defence to defend his country.
It could give Joshua, 32-years-old, who was beaten in September by Usyk, more time for developing a game plan that Lapin believes will be more offensive.
He stated that Joshua would change his fighting style to be more aggressive.
"But, will he be capable of maintaining this pace? Will his conditioning be sufficient for this?" We'll only be able see the ring.
"That's what boxing is all about, not just big muscles and large size. It's important to know how your boxing intelligence works and how fast you can make decisions.
"Usyk will prepare for the same Joshua, taking into consideration the mistakes from the previous fight."
