Tommy Fury in Talks for Shock Showdown with Boxing Legend Roy Jones Jr

Fury and Jones Jr Discuss Exhibition Bout

Tommy Fury, the former Love Island star and professional boxer, is reportedly in talks with boxing icon Roy Jones Jr over a potential exhibition bout. The discussion between the two fighters took place during their meeting in Saudi Arabia ahead of Tyson Fury's recent crossover clash with Francis Ngannou.

A Serious Conversation

What started as a playful conversation has turned into serious talks about a potential fight between Tommy Fury and the hall-of-famer Roy Jones Jr. Tommy's father, John Fury, confirmed the discussions and expressed his admiration for Jones Jr, calling him a "great guy" and a "standup man."

Possibilities for the Bout

Although the details of the potential fight are still being worked out, both Tommy Fury and Roy Jones Jr have expressed their interest in making it happen. Tommy, who narrowly defeated YouTuber KSI in his last outing, is open to the idea of an exhibition bout with Jones Jr. Both fighters need to sit down and determine what is best for them before finalizing any plans.

An Exciting Undercard Possibility

The idea of Tommy Fury facing Roy Jones Jr gained traction after Jones Jr jokingly proposed that they fight on the undercard of a show headlined by John Fury and Mike Tyson. Tommy quickly responded with enthusiasm, saying, "Let's do it." Both fighters expressed their excitement about the possibility of sharing the ring together.

Jones Jr's Ring Return

Roy Jones Jr, who is 54 years old, hasn't fought since his 2020 exhibition match with fellow boxing legend Mike Tyson. The fight ended in a draw after the two fighters went the full eight rounds. A bout with Tommy Fury would mark Jones Jr's return to the ring and provide an exciting opportunity for both fighters.
