Khan claimed that he was walking in Leyton, East London when two men approached him.
His wife was just behind him as he ran towards them and pointed a gun at him.
He said that the thugs demanded his luxury watch.
Khan revealed the incident on Twitter, but assured fans that he was safe with Faryal.

Tonight, Amir Khan tweeted: "Just had to have my watch taken from me at gunpoint in East London, Leyton.
"I crossed the road alongside Faryal, and luckily she was only a few steps behind.
"Two men ran up to me and he demanded my watch, while pointing a gun in my face.
"The most important thing is that we are both safe."
The Met Police declined immediate comment.
The boxer previously posted photos of his flash watches on social networks, posing with one he claimed was a treat to himself.
