Woodley was left facing down in the ring

Fans believed it was fixed when Paul used his wrist to signal that he was ready to deliver the devastating blow.

Woodley's coach spoke out against such claims and said that Woodley wanted to 'win'.

Din Thomas, speaking to MMA on Sirius XM said: "That theory, it makes you laugh.

"Because I was in his camp, it was very serious.

"It was serious, Tyron really wanted to win this fight back, he really wanted it and it was a serious matter.

"I wish they had told me that it was a dive because it would have been a night I didn't want to spend the night working."

"I thought I'd like to party but that wasn’t the case." It was a legitimate, legal fight.

Woodley admitted that he made the fatal error of dropping his hand just before Paul's punch.

However, he has stated that he isn't ready to retire yet.

Woodley recalls: "I fight to protect my children and my family. I told you guys that I was fit, and I also told you guys that I was ready to fight. And I told the guys that I was better than him.

"So, I did this tonight. Then, I went back to it and looked at it. And then, I thought.

"Why did I lose my hand? I was prepared, I had my hands open and was expecting the overhand.

"I knew he was going to delay the punch. Even if he delayed the punch, I was ready for him to deliver.

"Even though he didn’t delay, I don’t know why i dropped my guard." It takes one mistake to make a mistake in this sport. I blocked so many shots from him.
