TYRON WOODLEY was so dazed after his fight with Jake Paul, he didn’t realize he had been knocked unconscious.
In their Tampa fight last year, the former UFC welterweight champion was defeated by YouTuber and boxer.
Tyron Woodley was brutally defeated by Jake Paul in their rematch last December
.
with a huge overhand right.
Woodley fell facefirst onto the canvas after he was hit with an overhand right. His coach Din Thomas said that Woodley couldn't recall exactly what happened.
Thomas spoke out about the fight during a Sirius XM Radio appearance. He said that he experienced a variety of emotions.
"I can remember standing in the ring immediately it happened, and he was like, "No, no. When do I go back out?"
"He didn’t know it was happening, and he thought it was between rounds. I’m sure he was wondering why everyone was standing in the ring.
"He didn’t even know that at that moment."
Thomas was shocked by Paul's viral stoppage on The Chosen One, just like many others.
He said, "When I got out the ring, I just sat there in disbelief.
"That's really the beginning. It was disbelief. You couldn't believe it just happened.
"Then, when we reached the back, everyone was disappointed as I can't believe it happened.
"Even him, he was going back and forth.
"High Rollerz's owner, he was at the back. He brought his four-year-old daughter with him. Tyron was able to see her and said, "Hey, I'm okay. Don't worry.
"She brought life back to him, and he was able to see that she was a little girl. He went from being depressed to accepting it as it is.
Woodley, who lost his six last fights, couldn’t help but regret the loss of his left hand.
He stated that he had told his friends that he was in good shape and was ready to fight.
"So, I did it tonight. I looked at it again and wondered, 'Why did I lose my hands?'
"I was prepared, I had both hands open and I was expecting to receive the overhand.
"I knew he was going to delay the punch. Even if he delayed the punch, I was ready for him to deliver.
"Even though he didn’t delay, I don’t know why i dropped my guard." It takes one mistake to make a mistake in this sport. I blocked so many shots from him.
