Tyson Fury has made a surprising accusation against his rival, Oleksandr Usyk, claiming that the Ukrainian boxer was wearing high heels during their recent face-to-face encounter in Saudi Arabia. Fury, 35, and Usyk, 36, are set to have an undisputed clash on December 23, but before that, Fury will be facing off against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh on Saturday night.
Fury's Accusation
During their meeting in Saudi Arabia, Fury and Usyk were seen hugging each other. However, Usyk has since shared a video of him and Fury facing the camera and posing for photos. In the clip, Fury can be heard saying, "He's got high heels on. He's got his heels on." The two fighters then make fists for the camera, with Fury letting out a scream before walking away and adding, "I'm gonna kick his a**e."
Usyk's Response
Usyk responded to Fury's accusation in the caption of his Twitter post, saying, "In Ukraine we say, а big cabinet falls louder, and I think it's beautiful."
The Upcoming Clash
Fury is expected to earn around £65 million for his crossover bout with Ngannou this weekend. He is then set to earn £100 million for two fights with Usyk. Both Fury and Usyk have unbeaten records as professionals, with a combined total of 55 fights. While there is a possibility that the clash could be pushed back to early 2024, Fury has stated that the plan is for it to go ahead on December 23.
